An Artistic Journey through Paris

🎨 Celebrating 150 Years of Impressionism

This year marks an extraordinary anniversary in the art world: 150 years of Impressionism. This unmissable event celebrates the revolutionary artistic movement that forever changed how we perceive light, color, and everyday life. Paris is transforming into a vast open-air gallery, inviting art lovers and curious visitors to immerse themselves in the world of the master Impressionists.

Born in the heart of Paris in the 1870s, Impressionism brought together visionary artists like Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro. Their vibrant and luminous works were often created outdoors, depicting landscapes, scenes of everyday life, and intimate moments, frequently bathed in shifting natural light. The movement got its name from a Monet painting, *Impression, Sunrise*, which was featured at the first Impressionist exhibition in 1874. This painting, with its quick brushstrokes and bold colors, gave birth to a new way of seeing and representing the world, focusing on visual impression rather than realistic detail.

Today, 150 years later, the French capital and its surroundings are paying tribute to this art with a series of exhibitions, lectures, and themed tours. Visitors can discover masterpieces in iconic venues like the Musée d’Orsay, the Orangerie, and the Petit Palais, while also following in the footsteps of the Impressionists through walks in the Parisian neighborhoods that inspired so many of their works.
